Do you want to look flawlessly beautiful without putting on loads of makeup? This article will teach you how to transform your face into a natural work of art!
Edit Steps
- 1Maintain clear skin. With clear skin, you will find that you don't need as much make-up to look youthful and beautiful as you think. Make sure to drink plenty of water. You should also wash your skin twice a day. Washing your skin daily will get rid of unwanted acne. Moisturizing your skin will make your skin soft and smooth.
- 2Prep and prime. If you want your make-up to look great all day use a primer! Primers help to even out your complexion, smooth out your skin and pores, make your skin feel smooth, and keep your make-up in place all day.
- 3Apply some concealer. This step can be done before or after applying foundation. Even if you don't have any breakouts it is still important to apply concealer to get a flawless look. First, apply a good under eye cream. Next, apply a small amount of concealer under your eyes to get rid of any dark circles or pigmentation you may have. Then, proceed to dot some concealer on any additional areas that may need more attention. Concealer can also be applied on other spots/pigmentation marks on the skin.
- 4Use foundation. Use a foundation that matches your skin tone and one that is right for your skin type. Look for a foundation that say matte or oil-free on it if you have oily skin. If you have dry skin then look for a foundation that contains moisturizing ingredients. Foundation can be applied with a sponge, brush, or simply your fingers. Pick whatever way is most comfortable for you, and remember less is more! Powder foundation or beauty balms provide less coverage and a more natural look and feel. Liquid and cream foundations offer a lot more coverage and make the face more opaque. A bit of well-placed concealer looks much more natural than a foundation mask.
- 5Shaping eyebrows. Give your eyebrows a bit more shape and volume. It's important to have groomed and well-shaped brows as this will frame your face. You can go to the salon and get your eyebrows waxed. Or you can do them yourself at home. But remember be VERY careful! You can use eyeshadow powders or an eyebrow pencil to fill out any sparse areas in your brows. A pair of well groomed eye-brows can transform and define your face.
- 6Use eyeshadow. First apply a neutral color (brown, white, pink, skin color etc.) all over your eyelid. For a natural look, a matte eye-shadow would probably work best for this. Then take a brush and run a darker shade of shadow through the crease. Make sure it's blended together to create a natural and radiant appearance.
- 7Applying mascara. If your hair is a light blonde or brown, brown mascara would suit your look best. If your hair is black or dark brown, a black mascara would look pretty. There is mascaras you can buy that are a mix between black and brown. Some mascaras say "goes with _ eyes" on the label. Mascara can make your eyes look awake, bright, and gorgeous. Too much mascara can make your face look fake and sloppy. So just apply a light coat to your lashes to make them look amazing!
- 8Applying the right blush. The shade of blush you should use really depends on your preference and overall look. Too much blush can make your skin look really bad. Remember a little goes a long way! When you find the right blush you want to use apply it evenly on both cheeks. Brush the blush in an upward motion.
- 9Use lip balm. Lip balm will give you naturally soft lips and will make putting lipstick on much easier. Lip balm keeps your lips plump, soft, and beautiful.
- 10Put on lip stain or lipstick. Lipstain and lipstick can both make you look natural and pretty. There are some lipsticks you can get that are in pretty shades of pink and some that are in a skin color shade. When applying your lip stain make sure it is just a few shades darker than your natural lip color.
- 11Finished.
Edit Tips
- Drink water to hydrate your skin. For good results drink 8 glasses of water everyday.
- Use lip balm to get your lips soft. Soft lips will help make any lipstick you use look more natural.
- Apply lotion daily for naturally soft skin.
- If you want bigger lips try applying lip balm, then putting sugar on your lips and rubbing them together. Once you have finished, apply a even coat of lip balm to keep your lips moisturized. Repeat this process every other day.
- Spritz rose water on the face after completing the make up if the end result looks powdery.
- Don't apply eyeliner. Eyeliner never looks natural. If you feel you must apply eyeliner, apply a VERY thin line around the top of your eye. You can also apply Kohl on the waterline to define the eyes a bit.
- Religiously Follow the CTM Method - Cleansing, Toning & Moisturizing.
- If you have acne use a facial cleanser to remove breakouts for even more stunning skin.
- Consider using lip gloss. Put on a white or clear lip gloss for a soft shine. Just don't go overboard or use any other color as this will make you look more like a doll, unlike the natural look you're aiming for.
