The 8th SMWCon Fall 2013 will take place in Berlin, Germany from October 28th to 30th 2013 (Monday - Wednesday). Semantic MediaWiki conference bringing together users, developers and all other people interested in semantic wikis.

SMWCon Fall 2013 is organised by Wikimedia Deutschland e. V. with the help of Open Semantic Data Association e. V..

Location

SMWCon Fall 2013 will be held at A&O Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Lehrter Str. 12, 10557 Berlin, Germany. It is just a 5 to 10 minutes walk away from Berlin Central Station and may easily be reached by public and private transport. Though easily accessible in the centre of Berlin, the venue is in a quiet side street. See this page for information about Berlin as such.

Program

Tutorial day - October 28

In the Tutorial Day our experts will teach various topics related to semantic wikis: usage, applications, business models etc. We also have special developer track.

Conference days - October 29-30

The Conference Days gather people from business, academia, government and non-profit organizations giving talks about applying semantic wikis and about newest developments in the field.

Keynote

Organic Data Science: Opening Scientific Data Curation - Dr. Yolanda Gil, Director of Knowledge Technologies and Associate Division Director at the Information Sciences Institute of the University of Southern California, and Research Professor in the Computer Science Department.
