Are you Jewish and want to learn Hebrew? Or do you just want to learn another language? Whatever your reason is, this wikiHow article will help you become near-fluent from an intermediate level of Hebrew, advanced from a basic level of Hebrew, or fluent from an advanced level of Hebrew.

Edit Steps

  1. 1
Go to a bookstore and buy yourself a Hebrew book. You will need to understand most of the book.
  2. 2
Read the book. When you're done, look through the book for words that you don't understand, and write then on a piece of paper. Then make flash cards with translations and learn them until you know every single flash card very well.
  3. 3
Reread the book until you are sure you understood the book very well.
  4. 4
Get a harder book. Repeat the previous steps.
  5. 5
Once you get to a book with many words on a page, and many pages (100+), practice speaking Hebrew with native speakers.
    • If you take a trip to Israel, your vocabulary will improve and so will your social skills. You will also improve your vocabulary greatly.
  6. 6
To reinforce your Hebrew, watch movies, television, and listen to Israeli radio. You will be able to speak Hebrew like a native speaker.
