The Norwegian Constitution Day is celebrated on 17 May each year in Norway, where it is commonly known as Syttende Mai (17 May). It celebrates the signing of the Norwegian Constitution on 17 May 1814.

- 1Wear a bunad. A bunad is a type of Norwegian dress (women) and suit (men). They are commonly worn on Syttende Mai. If you are a girl you could also wear red, white and blue ribbons in your hair.
- 2Participate in parades. During Syttende Mai, many towns and villages across Norway organize their own parade and everyone is invited to join in the festivities. Parades in Oslo walk by the Royal Palace where the Royal family greet them from the balcony.
- 3Eat traditional Norwegian food. Lutefisk, simply dried cod steeped in lye, is popular in Norway. Lefse, a type of Norwegian flat bread which is made out of potatoes, milk or cream and is rolled up with a filling inside and eaten.
- 4Wave a Norwegian flag.
