Write a Two Page Paper in One Day

Did you forget all about that paper and now its due in a day? Or did you just get the assignment and it's due tomorrow?

    Make a chart, saying what you want to write about, or are prompted about.

    Most likely sentences will be choppy in the chart, so edit them to make them longer.

    Write a rough draft of your paper. If on paper, make sure it stays about three pages long, and do not use the back sides. Most papers are due typed, so when it's on paper you write bigger.

    If you create a rough draft on the computer, that makes things easier. Two pages equals two pages, mostly it will actually turn out longer, and will be double spaced.

    After you have completed you rough draft check the length, is it enough pages? Is it too many? If not proceed to step six. If it is, make sentences shorter or longer. Eliminate not needed sentences. Get more information.

    Now, check for spelling, and punctuation errors. Fix these, and proceed to step seven.

    Write the final paper. This should be one hundred percent correct as possible.

    Read the paper over. If you are confident it is great, turn it in or print it. Always print an extra copy. If it's sloppy, or doesn't fit, edit it more.

    When you get the papers back, check for the teacher's comments. Notice these comments, and don't forget them in the next paper. Notice your grade, and if you believe this is the correct grade for the paper you wrote.


Edit Tips

  • If you have a writer's block, take a break, and keep trying.
  • If you get bored, take a little ten minute break. Make sure the break isn't too long, or you won't want to write again.
  • If you get a bad grade, it's okay. Next time you'll do better. But don't wait until the last minute again!


Edit Warnings

  • If it's late, do NOT stay up all night writing the paper, write half of it, and finish in the morning.
  • Taking long breaks, may not make you want to write this paper, but push your self!
  • Do not keep writing if you have been writing for over an hour and a half. Take a break, and come back.
