Stay Awake and Focused While Working Late

Have to stay up late at night to work? Here's a few tips to keep you up and running!

Edit Steps

  1. 1
Avoid drinking sugar filled drinks. They will keep you awake for a few minutes, but then you'll crash. Instead, drink lots of water. Drink it until you have a slight tummy ache.
  2. 2
If you want, splash cold water on your face every half hour. The cold gives you goosebumps which awaken the brain and parts of the body.
  3. 3
Stay focused! If you want, turn on music with a good beat. It will take your mind off of working, and it will keep you from becoming tired.
  4. 4
Use eye drops. If your eyes start to hurt, open them for around 30 seconds and then put some eye drops on for dry and itchy eyes.
  5. 5
Take breaks. If you start to feel agitated, stand up and stretch for a few minutes to loosen up your muscles.
  6. 6
Eat fruits and vegetables. The nutrients in them provide a natural sugar that keeps your body awake. Bananas are especially good because they release their energy slowly. There is no energy "crash".

Edit Tips

  • Stay away from boring documentaries and TV shows at night

Edit Warnings
