For nearly 200 years, the School of Medicine has been one of the most prominent medical schools in the U.S. Founded in 1807, it is the oldest medical school in Maryland, and 5th oldest nationwide, training over half of all Maryland physicians.

The School of Medicine provides excellence in biomedical education, basic and clinical research and quality patient care, improving the health of the citizens of Maryland and beyond.
