Internal Medicine Residency

University of Maryland Medical Center is the sponsoring institution for graduate medical education programs. University of Maryland Medical Center is the principal clinical site for graduate medical education and the University of Maryland School of Medicine provides the faculty and the program direction.

In this partnership, University of Maryland Medical Center is responsible for providing an organized educational program for residents and fellows, under the guidance and supervision of the University of Maryland School of Medicine faculty. The goal is to facilitate the ethical, professional, and personal development of residents and fellows, while ensuring safe and appropriate care for patients.

University of Maryland Medical Center is committed to assuring that it and the clinical programs it sponsors meet or surpass all Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education accreditation requirements.
