  2. 2
Search for the book listing (which could very well be in the Read folder found under "My Books" tab at the top of the web page) the incorrectly-marked date for the unread book. Open the book's page up to the book's profile page, once you've found it.
  3. 3
Click the "Edit review" button, like the button you did when you would have started the review.
  4. 4
Locate the line of boxes next to the label "Date I finished this book". It should have a date filled in, in this box.
  5. 5
Click to select the parts of the date's drop-down where the part is filled-in.
  6. 6
Drag the selection up to the top of that drop-down. You'll see a "blank" listing-selection.
  7. 7
Repeat for each section that has a filled in portion of a date until all parts have "blank" selections.
  8. 8
Select the "save" button to save your work. Verify that the date is now been cleared from the My books page, while still keeping the book in your "read" (or wherever it's currently situated at) folder.

Edit Tips

  • If you ever mislabeled a book on Goodreads as read, that you don't want the Goodreads Reading Challenge to Count, doing so will subtract the book from the list that Goodreads has counted towards the annual total number of books read for that year.

Edit Warnings

  • If you try to Edit the date directly from the "My Books' folder listing, you'll find that the date won't ever fully blank itself out. You can however, edit the date so that an incorrect date listing can be corrected, but never blanked from that page.
