How to Create a New Poll on Answerbag
Edited by Chris, Adelaide
Creating questions on a question and answer site such as Answerbag could be simple, but when it comes to creating your own personal polls that people could help answer for you, that is something no other site gives you the possibility of creating. If you'd like to know how to create one for other people's views on subjects, this article can give you the "low-down" on this topic.
Edit Steps
-
1Open up your web browser to the Answerbag website.Ad
-
2Login to your account, or create an account there. The buttons are in the upper right hand corner of the page.
-
3Click the "Create a Poll" button from up near the top right corner of the website.
-
4Type your poll-like question into the big box initially labelled "Enter your question here".
-
5Make sure a duplicate question/poll hasn't been asked already. As you type your question, an area below the "I would like to Make my question a poll" will begin to enlarge and shorten, respectively, and updates in real-time as you type.
-
6Click the checkbox to the left of the bar-graph style graphic and the "I would like to Make my question a poll." label. This will trigger the question to become the poll.
-
7Think up a few good choices to use for people to "vote" on. Enter them in the appropriate boxes labelled "Option 1-5"
-
8Categorize your question in the box underneath the label "Search for a category by typing in the box below." Begin typing what you think this poll could best be described in terms of.
- If you'd like to search by typing, you can always type what category might exist in their database into their "Search for a category by typing in the box below" box.
- If at any point, the list of category doesn't pull up any good ideas, you may click the "Show more category suggestions" link.
- You may also click other parent categories of the given category, by clicking the category from the arrow category(tree system of categorization) of the given categories category.
-
9Explain why you've asked this poll. This field is mandatory. Click the choice to the right of the "My question is:" label. You have four choices to choose from.
-
10Click the "Post My Question" button to save your work and submit the poll for answering by the remainder of the community.Ad
Edit Tips
- Propose turning on the box that says "Notify me when answered". It'll email you whenever someone answers your poll question.
- You can either set up your account via your Facebook account, or you can set up your own personal account using the Answerbag system, or a combination of both if you choose to set one up that way.
