    Go to a social place. A bar, club or cafe are all good ideas.

    Look for a girl you might be interested in. If you don't see anyone you like, don't worry. Sooner or later someone will come in.

    Look for clues. When you see a girl, look closer to pick up on clues about her relationship status. Is she sitting with another person? Is she holding anyone's hand or arm? Does she have a ring on her left ring finger? If so, she might be taken. You should not hit on her if she is taken.

    Approach the girl. If you want to take the chance, approach her. But, don't make it obvious that you're trying to hit on her.

    Force her to take notice of you by directly interacting with her. First, grab a drink and then walk past her pretending to trip and "accidentally" spilling the drink on her. But, if you do this, chances are she will be angry; girls hate it when drinks are spilt on their clothes. Especially in a public place and ruined when they cannot go and change. So, never do this to impress a girl, it won't work. Please use your judgement. Don't spill it on her if she has a pair of white pants or a white shirt on.

    Apologize and ask to make it up to her. If she accepts, ask to buy her a drink.

    Buy the drink. While you're waiting for the drink, strike up a conversation. "That's a cool shirt, wish I hadn't spilled (name of drink) on it." or "So where do you go to school?" or "Your [substitute jewelry in] are really nice.", are great topic starters.

    Find out if she's available. Before she leaves, ask her subtly whether she is single. Instead of blurting out "Are you single?" hide it within another question, such as: "So, I bet a pretty lady like you must have a boyfriend." If she says no, try to get her number.

  • Don't call her constantly, every other day is good. Save the calls for if (and when) you start to get serious.
  • Don't forget the two-day calling rule, it is important.
  • If you hit on her and she says she's taken, apologize immediately. Say you didn't know and leave her alone.
  • All girls are different. These strategies may not work all the time.
