Would you like to include an image in your WordPress blog entry? These steps show you how to include an image from your own computer or from the web.

    Create a new blog entry, using an appropriate subject line.

    Put your cursor in the spot in your message where you want to insert an image.

    Look for the line below the subject line that says Add Media, followed by little icons.

    Click on the first little icon, which looks like a picture frame. (Hover your mouse over the icon for its name.)

    In the window that opens, select the source for your image. You can upload images from your computer or paste in the image URL.

    Leave the other settings as is and click on Insert Into Post.

    Once the image is in your message window, you can move the image up or down in your post by clicking once on it and dragging it.

    To see what the image will look like in your post, look for the Publish section on the right and click on Preview. A new window will open with a preview.

    When you’re finished creating your post, click the blue Publish button.

Tips

  • If your image is very large, you might want to select the small or medium options. Users can access the full size version by clicking on the smaller one.
  • When you insert the image, you have the option to select no alignment, centered, or left or right alignment. If you choose left or right, the text in your post will wrap around the image.
