How to Administer wikiHow Projects
Edited by Teresa, Carolyn Barratt, Jack Herrick, Adelaide
You don't have to be an admin to administer. You can find wikiHow projects and administer them, or administer your own. wikiHow projects are projects like Categorization, Format, NIP. They help out wikiHow as a whole. Personal projects might be something that you like, such as Saving Pet Rock articles. This article will tell you how to do that.
EditSteps
-
1Have a reason for it. If you start a project, 'just 'cause', it won't go anywhere.Ad
-
2Have a specific goal. Maybe you want to get the Categorizing articles down to zero, or clean up the [1] articles.
-
3For some ideas, check out the Pages Needing Attention page.
-
4Use it as useful experience for becoming an admin someday, if that is your choice. This helps, because, especially if it is successful, it gets your name out there, so others will start to recognize you.
-
5Keep stats current on your project. It is good to know if you are doing better or worse.
-
6Use the wikiHow Forum to get the word out.
-
7Try to find others of like mind, (without spamming discussion pages) to work on your project.
-
8See if you can find an actual admin to be on your project, but not administer it.Ad
