The WelcomeBot is a feature on wikiHow, whereas it will use the last new article booster or administrator whom edited to welcome new editors. The pro to this is that these newcomers can get swift and accurate answers, however at times, it can be troublesome at times when messages can't be replied to all the time. This article will inform you on how to "hide" yourself or temporarily disable the feature.

EditTips

  • If the welcome bot missed a user that has contributed and you know you're the latest one who's edited with these apps, you can then leave a new message with the {{welcome}} and {{welcomelinks}} templates in a new message to the editor.
  • Most Admins on this site who haven't been active for a while, might, over time need this article, as some might be fearful of issues or need to fix this so they aren't used.
  • Consider leaving this setting on however, as this definitely shows good faith to the community and your fellow new wikiHow editors who can grow up and become a highly-skilled user like yourself.
