You can quickly and easily add your Google Calendar information to your iPad and use Google instead of (or as well as) iCloud calendars. Here’s how to add your Gmail account to your iPad via the Settings app.

    From your iPad’s Home screen, tap the Settings icon. It should be a grey icon depicting a couple of gears.

    Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars from the left hand pane. Under the ‘’’Accounts’’’ section that appears, tap ‘’’Add Account...’’’

    Tap the Gmail logo from the list that appears.

    Type your name, Gmail e-mail address, and password into the required fields and add a description to identify your account if you wish. Now tap the Next button.

    Make sure that Calendars is set to On and switch on Mail and Notes if you wish. Now tap the Save button.

    Press the Home button to return to your iPad’s Home screen and tap the Calendar icon to launch the Calendar app.

    Tap the Calendars button at the top left of the screen to show your available calendar accounts. Tap your Gmail calendar to show or hide it.

  • To only show your Google calendars on your iPad, turn off calendar syncing for your other accounts within the Settings app’s Mail, Contacts, Calendars section or hide them from within the Calendar app.
