At the same time, licensed e-Commerce solutions provide an access to the source code, are flexible and multi-functional. If you are an owner of hosted Volusion cart and would like to change it to an open source Magento, this tutorial is for you!

    Create Cart2Cart account. For your better convenience, there will be a possibility to sign in with Google or Facebook account. Also you can create a new Cart2Cart Account.

    Specify source and target carts.
    • Select Volusion as a source store from the dropdown list and type URL of a current store.
    • According to the same principle, select Magento version and provide store’s URL.
    • After that, you will have to download and install a connection bridge. You will need to use FTP client to perform this action.
    • It is recommend to turn off your website redirects to ensure proper functioning of the Connection Bridge files[1].

    Entities Selection.
    • Check entities you want to move from the list or fill in Check All box to choose all available.
    • Check additional options if needed and make sure you have enough funds to cover additional costs.
    • Map currencies, order statuses and languages. This step will simplify after migration store management.

    Move up to 10 entities for free. See and evaluate the result on a new store. Make sure you understand how service works and proceed next to the full migration.

    Perform a full migration.
    • Check again the selected entities and ensure you have enough funds on your account.
    • If everything is OK, push the big green button to launch Full Migration.
    • You will be able to track the process or close a browser window.
    • After the transfer is completed, you will receive an email notification.
