Charlotte, US (April 14, 2014) - The software component vendor Text Control on Monday announced its cross-platform, cross-browser strategy to create reporting templates on the Web.
"Our new HTML5 rendering technology is a radical change in the way documents will be edited in the browser – it won't be ‘yet another HTML editor’. Developers integrate an MS Word look & feel and a true WYSIWYG rendering," said Bjoern Meyer, President of Text Control in the United States, during the roadmap unveiling at the developer conference DevIntersection in Orlando, Florida.
Text Control is used to integrate reporting into .NET applications. Users create templates with MS Word skills rather than using complex reporting designers. It is MS Word compatible and can load and save industry standard formats such as DOCX, RTF and DOC. It can be deployed on all Microsoft technology platforms Windows Forms, WPF and ASP.NET. End-users create documents and templates on all operating systems with HTML5 capable browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer. Additionally, tablets and smart phones are supported as well.
Zero footprint - no plug-ins
Text Control presented the first live demos at the conference and attendees were able to experience the interface at demo stations. The presented technology doesn’t require any client-side browser plug-ins, it is simply pure HTML5 and Javascript.
Text Control HTML5 supports all typical word processing features such as full table support, headers and footers, sections and tab positions. Additionally, reporting elements like merge fields, master-detail views, barcodes and 2D and 3D charts can be inserted and bound to database fields.
The created templates are merged using the reporting engine of Text Control to create documents and reports as Adobe PDF or other typical formats.

The HTML5 editor will be part of the next version, X11, of TX Text Control Server for ASP.NET which is planned for quarter 3 2014.

Technical session will explore common security weaknesses in IoT devices, specific attacks against things, why they matter, and what can be done about them

Panel session and white paper explore best practices for building, deploying and managing an e-government cloud

Panel - Security and Identity Challenges for the Internet of Everything

White paper discusses how to strengthen API design, evolution and connection by applying RESTful tooling in conjunction with REST constraints and principles

The new release includes expanded list of supported localizations, simplified dialog forms, integrated style designer, encryption algorithm AES 256bit for PDF-files.
Reporting tools from Stimulsoft are used for processing data, displaying them and printing. Software products are available for several technologies such as WinForms, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, HTML5 and WinRT.

Stimulsoft Reports 2014.1 allows to quickly and easily create a report form with a user´s request: work with report styles in the Mobile Designer component for MVC (HTML5) has been simplified; the style designer allows creating, editing, and adding new report styles. Moreover, it became possible to create collections of styles.
Any information should be protected. Users of Stimulsoft Reports must be sure that they can trust Stimulsoft in the security issues. The new version of reporting tools can encrypt reports by the algorithm AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) 256bit for PDF files created in Stimulsoft Reports. The PDF format has a built-in encryption. This means that it is possible to put a password in a document, without which it is impossible to perform certain actions with the document such as opening, printing, editing. Encryption can be done by different methods depending on the algorithm and key length.
Initially, the Acrobat products used RC4 40 and 128-bit encryption methods. Eventually more robust encryption algorithm AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) appeared. At this moment it is the best built-in Acrobat encryption method.
