Health Fee
All UGA students and their spouses may use health center services. Full-time students are required to pay a health fee each semester. Students taking five or fewer credit hours and all students' spouses and domestic partners may either pay the health fee and receive the same benefits as a full-time student, or choose to use the health center on a fee-for-service basis.

Health Fee vs. Fee-for-Service
The health fee is a semester charge determined by the Board of Regents, and is mandatory for all full time students. It is optional for students taking five or fewer credits as well as for student spouses and domestic partners. (See the above charts for health fee charges and services covered by the health fee.)
Fee-for-service applies to any services that are not covered by the health fee, including office visits for part time students, spouses and domestic partners, opting not to pay the health fee.
