A good introduction to a wikiHow article should summarize the content of an article and capture the reader's interest in approximately five sentences. Here are some ways to add an introduction to either a new or existing article:

- Avoid short introductions, such as "Here is how to do XYZ:". And, plus, after Google had some problems with this in their searches, the use of the term "Here is how to" has been outlawed, and is now adding more work for others to clean up.[1]. Please completely refrain from using that term, when typing your introduction. Use the phrase "This article can/This article..." instead.
