If you would like to show others that you are looking forward to a certain date, creating a countdown may be for you. You can do that, in a few easy steps, with the Time and Date website.

    Scroll up to the top of the website. You will see many buttons, including "World Clock", "Time Zones", "Calendar", and "Weather".

    Click on the "Timers" drop-down menu, then click on "Countdown to Any Date". This will begin the countdown creation process.

    Select a countdown design or theme. It is recommended to choose one that matches with the theme of the event being counted down to, such as Fourth of July or New Year's.

    • Check the box "Stop countdown at zero". Do this if you want the countdown to stop at zero.

    Type the location of the event. The location consists of the city and country (state, too, if the event is in the United States or Mexico).

    Click on "Create Countdown". This will save your countdown, and you can bookmark it if desired.

    Watch the seconds, minutes, days, tick down on the countdown clock, in verification that the countdown timer will work. If everything was set up correctly, it should continue to tick down every second of every minute of every day of every week, etc.
