  2. 2
Saying "es" is easy. Just say the name of the letter "s".
  3. 3
For "problema": the consonants are pronounced the same as in English, except that the "r" is rolled or "trilled." The "o" is pronounced as in "no." The "e" is pronounced as in "yes" (while tending toward the "a" in "day"). The "a" is pronounced as the "o" in "hot." The emphasis is placed on the second syllable.
  4. 4
Try saying the words all together: "No es problema." Don't over-space the syllables. Say "no es" as if they were one word. Then say "problema." The phrase has the same rhythm as in "no problem" but it's a bit longer.

Edit Warnings

  • Avoid saying, "No problema" among Spanish-speaking people because to their ears you will sound like Tarzan trying his best at the language. In other words, don't forget the "es."
  • The problem with " No problem " ( no es problema )is the menaning of your answer: It can be : " Yes, why not " in which case an "okay" is worldwide understood , OR , it can be the polite answer to an informal apology like " lo siento ", "perdón " or a bit more formal " perdone " in which case " No pasa nada " is a widely used expression, which could be translated as " nevermind ",it's OK ". To make sure what you mean gets across some mimic would come in handy.
