Want a delicious floral tea but don't want to shell out a lot of cash? Follow these simple steps to the perfect pot of tea!
EditSteps
-
1Collect flowers. Chrysanthemums, jasmine, dandelions, and lavender are commonly used in teas. You can use a single flower or a combination.Ad
-
2Wash the flowers! You don't want a mouthful of pesticides and bugs.
-
3Heat up a cup (or however much tea you wish to make) of water on the stove. Get it so it's warm, but cool enough to put one's hand in. (Boiling the flowers will result in a bitter, unpleasant flavor)
-
4Put a cup of the flowers (fresh or dried) into a tea ball, or directly into the pot (you'll strain later)
-
5let the flowers steep for 2-5 minutes, tasting as you go.
-
6Strain any flower bits out using a fine strainer or a paper towel
-
7Pour into a cup, add a little lemon juice, sugar, or milk, and enjoy!Ad
