Having trouble with communication skills? Not having fun at those charismatic parties? Here is some useful advice that will help you be a fun person to hang out with.
EditSteps
-
1Have a goal that you want to complete by the end of the night. It can be as simple as make your friends laugh or a little more challenging, like meet someone new. At the end of the night, if nothing else you would be able to go home with your head high, saying that you completed what you went out to achieve.Ad

2Go with the crowd, they all know how to have fun; even if you're shy, try to show people that you aren't a shy person!
-
3Listen to different people so you can choose who's more comfortable to be around.
-
4Dance and have fun if there's good music!
-
5Avoid people who say nasty comments about you at parties to bring you down...it always happens at parties. Just pretend they're invisible.
-
6Be a social person. Forget about your shyness; just go and have a conversation with someone.
-
7Do something different. If you want to have fun you have to get out there and do something new and exciting. If you hate dancing, get on the dance floor, even if its just for one song.
-
8Find that one friend that you always enjoy seeing and stay with them for the night. If you stick with them by the end of the night you would have had fun.
-
9Stay away from the people you dislike, or those that don't like you. If you are in the same room as them or near them they are going to annoy you or bring you down. The party will be big enough to just avoid them and you should be able to still have fun.Ad
EditTips
- Remember: you're there to have fun.
- Letting go of your worries is the definition of 'fun' - just forget about what other people think for a while and try to relax.
- Dress in what makes you feel confident, but don't forget any dress codes.
- If all these steps are difficult for you because you're shy, remember: a party is a great opportunity to try and deal with your insecurities.
- Confidence is key when asking a person to dance. Even if you don't feel as great as you sound, the answer will almost always be "yes."
- Coordinate your outfit with your friends. Don't show up in a ballgown if everyone else is wearing a costume!
- Be yourself.
- Be careful.
EditWarnings
- Don't be mean and arrogant or brag about your clothes; this will make people dislike you.
- At some parties there are 'dangerous' people... try to avoid them.
