Here's how to throw a great video game party with your friends. Every little detail is included, just look below!
EditSteps
-
1Plan two weeks ahead and make it on a weekend.Ad
-
2Call all your friends and ask them.:
- Can you make it on (date of party)?
- How many controllers can you bring for (insert console name)?
- Can you bring any snacks (optional)?
-
3Pick one console. And rent games from Gamefly or other places like that (you can buy games, too, if you want).
-
4Set the console up in a big room with lots of furniture and tables.
-
5Get snacks and soda for the party and clean all the dishes. You never know how many dishes you'll use.
-
6Set up the party. Put the snacks on the tables, pour one cup of soda for every friend, plug up the controllers and pick out the games for the night.
-
7Have fun. Don't freak out after losing a game, or be cocky. By doing that, you ruin the party.Ad
EditTips
- Have good lighting.
- Find out how many controllers that can play at the same time. Try not to go too over that limit.
- Always compliment your guests.
- Try to avoid too competitive games like Modern Warfare. Try playing Left 4 dead 2 instead.
- Be happy and nice, nobody wants to be at a party where someone is acting angry. It just ruins the party.
- If your friend brings a younger sibling. Compliment them the most, and let them beat you. It's a happy moment to see a little kid say "Yay!" or something after winning at a game.
- Play a wide range of games. Nobody wants to play Guitar Hero all night.
- Make sure everyone has a spot on the furniture, a snack and soda. Tell them they're free to have as many as they like.
EditWarnings
- Safety first always.
- Don't let anyone get in a fight.
EditThings You'll Need
- A console with a wide variety of games (like Wii, PlayStation 1, 2, or 3, Xbox 360, GameCube, Xbox, Sega genesis, and Nintendo 64)
- Popcorn, mini candy bars, and Twizzlers are always good.
- Root beer, Dr.Pepper or Coke, a fruity soda (orange, strawberry etc.) are always good.
- As many controllers as your console can hold.
- At least 15 different games that aren't in a series.
