How to Be a Nerd and Still Fit in
Edited by Hailey Girges, Rhoshiny, Teresa, Nicolelyra22
Nerds have some really bad stereotypes. Ugly, braces, thick glasses, mismatched clothes, really out of shape. And none of that is truly bad, but if you are a nerd, then you need to know how to keep in style a little, get a little fitter, but still be just as nerdy.

1Keep up on the latest trends. If you see something really cute in a store, don't be afraid to get it! Nerds don't have to wear capris and really ugly t-shirts. That's just hurtful stereotypes. You can wear whatever you like! Even if that is really just capris and a tee shirt. That may just be your style. But try to keep up with what's new, and hopefully you can find something really cute that will change your whole outlook on fashion.Ad

2Exercise. If you fit into the unfit nerd category, read on. It's all right. Everyone gets out of shape. It's okay to start slow (really slow if necessary) and just try to improve. All it takes is a nice daily or three times weekly routine. Start off with about an eighth of a mile and increase every two days. Like run one eighth of a mile, and take a day off to hydrate. Then run one fourth of a mile. Rest. Run a half mile. See the trend? Just keep at it, and soon you will be able to run a mile in no time.

3Try being a part of some popular clubs and indulge in some extracurricular activities. Getting into lots of groups may help boost the amount of friends you can hang out with, and lead to less nerd related problems, such as the popular girl laughing at you. All these tips can help you become a little less nerdy at school, but don't give up on nerdiness! Being a nerd is great, whether your a book nerd or a tech nerd. Any kind of nerd is fine(as long as you aren't a poser...) hope this helps!!!Ad
EditTips
- Keep well hydrated when running. It makes it a lot easier to keep the pace you want.
- Keep at one pace for a whole jog. Slow down a little if necessary and try not to walk. Then, at the end, sprint like crazy.
- When you join clubs, they can definitely be nerd related. Try the anime club, or the robotics club!
EditWarnings
- Ask your doctor before starting an exercise program, just to make sure you are physically ready.
