Sometimes when buying a fish you are not sure which fish to get.

    Consider the size of your tank. If you want a lot of fish you may want to consider getting a smaller size fish. If you don't want a lot of fish, you could get a bigger fish.

    Consider your other fish (if you have any). You need to get a fish about the same size as the one(s) you already have. Make sure that neither fish will be a danger to each other.

    Examine the fish. If it looks rather sickly or questionable, reconsider.

    If there's lots of dead fish in the tank, consider that one of the fish might have been the cause of it.

    After choosing your fish, make sure your tank is clean and has all the things that it needs. Also check your fish food and make sure it's the right kind.
