EditSteps
-
1Be confident! As hard as it may be, keep your head held high and walk on past.Ad
-
2If someone shouts something at you, don't let it get to you. You could even smile and blow a kiss at them - it really freaks them out and is so funny to laugh about afterwards.
-
3Surround yourself with friends who understand and aren't prejudiced about it. Somebody is not your friend if they laugh or join with the bullies - that's what homophobes are, bullies, who are scared of anything different to them so they react in a hostile way towards it. Confidence is tricky, but if you have some supporters, what anyone else thinks doesn't matter.
-
4Consider taking a self defense course. This is especially helpful if you live in an area that is prone to violence towards homosexuals- you just never know when it could come in handy.Ad
EditTips
- Stay away from them when they have friends around
- Stay away from them as much as possible if you don't feel comfortable around them.
EditWarnings
- If the bullies become violent, talk to your family or teacher, and if it becomes really serious, even the police!
- Its tricky to come out because you never know what people will think, but its even harder to stay in the closet and it hurts even more.
