How to Make a Picture Frame Key Holder
Edited by Sandeep MS, Gerard Plamenco, Krystle, Maluniu and 1 other
Looking for a pretty way to maintain an orderly key chain holder at home? Instead of a standard old key chain holder sitting on your wall, why not create something pretty where your key ring holder is positioned inside a decorative picture frame?
EditSteps
-
1Remove backing from picture frame so you are left with only the frame. Carefully discard glass covering as well.Ad
-
2Mount frame on your corkboard or heavy cardboard stock. Line the back with glue and adhere it to the board.
- Allow for ample dry time before use.
-
3Select areas on the inside of the frame that will hold your screw hooks. Locate areas that are along the top inside of the frame and are approximately ½” spaced apart (depending upon the size of your frame and number of keys).
-
4Mark your places using your pencil.
-
5Screw hooks into place.
-
6Hang your frame.Ad
EditThings You’ll Need

- Electric screwdriver
- Pencil
- Picture frame (heavy set frame)
- Corkboard (or heavy cardstock)
- Industrial strength glue (or hot glue)
EditTips
- Consider painting the frame if you like the size and shape but are looking for a different look.
