Imagine the experience. When you have achieved this, imagine stepping into your own body and experience yourself performing perfectly.

Instruct yourself that you will be playing the sport on auto pilot. Tell yourself that your body will know all the right moves to do without you even having to think, almost as though you have rehearsed this 1000 times and everything will just be automatic.
  4. Improve Your Sport Performance through Visualisation Step 4.jpg

Remember a time when you were in what is known as "the zone, the groove, or the flow state". This is a state where everything just goes perfectly, effortlessly, and easily. Very similar to a lucky roll, or winning streak. When you can remember a time concentrate on the feeling and note where in your body you feel this.
  5. Improve Your Sport Performance through Visualisation Step 5.jpg

Relax right before you begin. At the sporting event take 5 mins beforehand to relax remember the "zone/ flow state", and allow yourself to access it, trust that you will react on auto pilot throughout the event and allow your sub-conscious mind to take over your reactions during the event. You will find your reactions lightning fast and perfectly accurate throughout the game.
