Laboratory

The UHC Laboratory is a Joint Commission Accredited facility that offers a wide range of diagnostic laboratory services. We provide your clinician with the information needed to help diagnose and treat your medical conditions. Our comprehensive rapid in-house test selections give your clinician the results needed during your clinic visit. Comprehensive microbiology testing and cultures that have turn-around times of 2-5 days are available as well. All other testing is sent to our reference lab, Quest Diagnostics.

Clinician orders are required for all testing except MMR or Varicella titers which are available upon patient's request. Orders from physicians outside the health center are also accepted.

• 1 in 2 sexually active young people will get an STI (sexually transmitted infection) by the age of 25, and most won't show any signs or symptoms. Untreated, some of these STIs can lead to serious problems.
• The UHC Laboratory offers affordable, convenient, and confidential STI testing using a simple blood draw or urine sample, with results available within 2-3 days.
• The easiest way to know you are safe is to "Get Yourself Tested."
