What is the Health Fee
The health fee provides the UGA community the opportunity to receive quality, multi-disciplinary health care, wellness and health maintenance within a few steps of campus classes. It is affordable and convenient, and our physicians and staff are highly trained and Board Certified in their fields to specifically provide age-appropriate services and health information within the context of the college campus.
All UGA students and their spouses/partners may use health center services. Full-time students pay a health fee each semester (fees-paid student). Students taking five or fewer credit hours and all students' spouses and domestic partners may elect to pay the health fee or choose to use the health center on a fee-for-service basis.

What does the Health Fee Cover?
The following comprehensive and integrated, multi-disciplinary medical,
emotional, and wellness services are supported by the health fee:
- Discounted rates for primary care and specialty services
- Campus Primary Care Medical Home: students are assigned to a primary care provider (Physician, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for urgent and routine medical needs in one of four medical clinics--Blue, Gold, Green or Red
- Specialty Clinics and Care:
- Counseling & Psychiatric Services
- Pharmacy
- Women's Clinic
- Sports Medicine
- Laboratory & Radiology
- Physical Therapy / Massage
- Allergy & Travel Clinic
- Vision Clinic
- Dental Clinic
- Dermatology, limited
- Nutrition Counseling and Education
- Urgent care on weekday evenings from 5:00-6:00pm and on Sundays from 10:00am-5:00pm
- Health promotion and wellness education including sexual health, stress management, sleep hygiene, substance abuse, and nutrition
- Interpersonal violence advocacy, victim support, workshops, and trainings through the Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention (RSVP) office located at UHC
- Collegiate Recovery Community offers a supportive environment for students recovering from addiction
- 24/7/365 crisis/on-call service with Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS)
- Campus Safety via the Behavioral Assessment and Response Council (BARC) and when disease outbreaks occur, such as Meningitis, Rabies, and Tuberculosis
- Mandatory Immunization review and clearance
- Mandatory online alcohol and sexual education course administration and clearance
Health Fee vs. Fee-for-Service
The health fee is a semester charge determined by the Board of Regents, and is mandatory for all full time students. It is optional for students taking five or fewer credits as well as for student spouses and domestic partners.
Fee-for-service applies to any services that are not covered by the health fee, including office visits for part time students, spouses and domestic partners, opting not to pay the health fee.
