Don't panic. About 70% of people panic straight away when their computer crashes. Stay calm and try to focus. It might seem impossible, when you might have lost data or files you didn't save, but there are other solutions to fixing them.

Carefully inspect your computer. Objects around your computer/laptop could roll under and mess with the cables. Search under, around the area. If you do find any items stuck or lying around, pull them out and place them somewhere safe, like a pencil case.

Check your computer. Your computer should get very slow on internet, or freeze frequently. Look on the screen. Are there any programs that are open? They might be the cause for it. Try to find any other programs or files that look suspicious, or open.

Be patient. Leaving your computer alone can help it fix the problem faster. If you keep on clicking or moving your screen around, it's only going to cause more problems. An average computer should take about 4-5 minutes to fix glitches and errors. Crashing is rare to fix by a computer on it's own, but leave it for a couple of minutes.

Reboot your Computer. Restarting your computer will delete everything that's running in it's memory system right now, and should come back up again. If it worked, and everything is running smoothly again, it's fixed. If the freezing does come up again once you restarted it, continue these steps (1~4) again.
