So you don't use the dashboard in OS X and would like to make it disappear? Continue to step 1 to learn how.

Open System Preferences located in the dock.

Click on Mission Control.

Uncheck Show Dashboard as a Space and close System Preferences.

Open Mission Control and the Dashboard should now be hidden.
