Hi,        I have few doubts .. can anyone clarify on this.   1) Y do the machines to be kept under domain during VCS setup. What are all the entries updated in AD ? y we should update there?. Can Veritas Cluster Server 5.0 be installed in a Windows workgroup instead of an Active Directory domain?  The operating system is Windows Server 2003 Enterprise version.  Someone at my place of work is trying to install this and the install seems to insist on entering a domain name.  If this is possible please be specific.  Thank you very much!

I have been told that VCS using Fencing can cause a Service Group to off line it you add a newly created disk group into the Service Group while it is imported.   I will agree that somewhere in some documentation it might tell you what will happen if you do this, it is an easy mistake to make that will take down your resources.   It does this because it has to add the keys ...
