Measure the footprint of the workstation. That is, the distance that the feet are spread apart both front to back, and side-to-side.
Cut a piece of plywood slightly bigger than the footprint dimensions. Later, a piece of wood will be attached to the center of the plywood that will conform to the dimensions while also leaving room for the power strip.
Attach a caster to each corner of the plywood. Use swivel casters for mobility. They should also have a lock that can be set to keep the base steady.
Use 3/4” material to make a skirt for the base. Attach the skirt to the plywood with glue and nails.
