EditSteps
-
1So, you've shaved your fake act and started being yourself. You wore your favorite yellow shirt with flowers on it along with some orange pants. And your friends are kidding around. Keep making fun of it. Well, don't just stand there and say "Oh yeah ha ha... guess I do look really babyish in this." while you're really crying in your head!
-
2Let them know that you really like your outift. Maybe say something like "Guys, I know you're just kidding, but I really like this outfit and it hurts my feelings when you say things about it... I'm not saying you don't have to think it's really ugly. Just maybe don't say anything about it".
-
3If they don't understand and continue to laugh and make jokes, just leave or find someone else to talk to (even if you don't know them). Let yourself cool down awhile.
-
4After you're done cooling down, find the friend your closest to in the group, and tell her/him that the things that they said REALLY hurt your feelings and maybe if he/she could talk to them. If your friend agrees, then great! But if not, then maybe you shouldn't hang out with your friends for a little while.
-
5If your friends notice you haven't been talking to them, And start gossiping about you, always involve an adult.
EditTips
- If your friends don't accept the REAL you, then they were never friends with YOU. They were friends with a fake version of you. Find some good friends that love you for who you are. They don't have to be popular or beautiful or rich. Some of the closest friends are the ones who aren't spoiled!
EditWarnings
- Don't take teasing for "making fun of". They are completely different such as: Teasing, "I think your mom bought you that right". Making fun of: "Were you blind when you picked that outfit out? It looks like something my mom's dog would wear... Guess it suits you though".
- Try to talk to your friends before you start "shunning" them! Because if your friends DO apologize, you don't want them to think you're being overdramatic!
- Never go looking for insults. Because then people will think you're an attention hog!
