    Open the curtains and windows to get some fresh air circulating through the room.

    Pick up the trash. Wrap any broken glass or ceramics in newspaper and set it aside to dispose of carefully. Put the rubbish into bin bags, separating what can be recycled.

    Empty the open drinks into the sink and put in the trash.

    Clear any remaining food and put it in the garbage. It is probably stale after being out all night - better safe than sorry in this situation, as you don't know what could have been added during the night or if it was eaten hygienically.

    Sweep the floor, vacumn the carpet and then mop it clean or use a carpet cleaner if necessary.

    Get a damp cloth and wipe down the walls to clean away any splashes.

    Stand up the chairs and put them back into their proper place.

    Wipe the furniture with a damp cloth and dust the furniture.

    If there are soft furnishings in the room, wash whatever is dirty, taking care to read the care instructions carefully. Place what is clean into it's proper place.
