EMDRIA offers several types of membership to help you find one that best suits your level of training. You must join at your highest level of eligibility.
FULL MEMBER

Requirements
- Must be licensed, certified, or the equivalent as a mental health professional or per the guidelines of your state, province or country.
- Must have completed EMDRIA Approved Basic EMDR Training and fill out the corresponding "Basic Training Completion Date" field during registration.
- Must subscribe to EMDRIA Code of Conduct.

¤ Full EMDRIA Member - Standard Rate | 1 year membership | $150
Available Discounts:
Agency ($105) - You must be currently employed by a publicly funded agency to be eligible for this discount, and fill out the corresponding "Discount Type" and "Agency/University Name" fields during registration.
University Faculty ($105) - You must be currently employed as a university faculty member to be eligible for this discount, and fill out the corresponding "Discount Type" and "Agency/University Name" fields during registration.
¤ Full EMDRIA Member - Newly Trained | 1 year membership | $105
Eligibility - You must have completed EMDR Basic Training within the last six months in order to be eligible for this member type. After the first year of membership, you will be required to renew at the Full Standard Rate ($150) if you do not qualify for an Agency or University Faculty discount.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER
Associate Members are not listed in the "Find a Therapist" search and do not have voting privileges.
Requirements
- Must be licensed, certified, or the equivalent as a mental health professional per the guidelines of your state, province or country OR pursuing licensure under supervision OR be in the process of completing EMDR Basic Training.
- Must subscribe to EMDRIA Code of Conduct.

Agency ($90) - You must be currently employed by a publicly-funded agency to be eligible for this discount, and fill out the corresponding "Discount Type" and "Agency/University Name" fields during registration.
University Faculty ($90) - You must be currently employed as a university faculty member to be eligible for this discount, and fill out the corresponding "Discount Type" and "Agency/University Name" fields during registration.
¤ Associate EMDRIA Member - Newly Trained | 1 year membership | $90
Eligibility - You must have completed EMDR Basic Training within the last six months in order to be eligible for this member type. After the first year of membership, you will be required to renew at the Associate Standard Rate ($125) or the Full Standard Rate ($150) if you do not qualify for an Agency or University Faculty discount.
STUDENT MEMBER
Student Members are not listed in the "Find a Therapist" search and do not have voting privileges.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled as a full time student (9 credit hours or more) in a university or academic setting.
- Must provide proof of enrollment to EMDRIA (Attn: Christal) by fax (866-451-5256) or email ([email protected]) before membership will be approved.
- Must subscribe to EMDRIA Code of Conduct.

RETIRED MEMBER
EMDRIA offers a discounted rate to current or previous members who are now retired and meet the requirements listed below. Retired membership is not available to new members.
Requirements
- Must have five or fewer clients per week.
- Must be at least 65 years of age.
- Must have been a member of EMDRIA and paid membership for at least seven years (do not have to be consecutive).
- Must subscribe to EMDRIA Code of Conduct.
