Premiere CC Crashes Every Time I Touch an Imported Clip in Any Way

Any advice on this? I just installed Premiere Pro CC fresh on a windows 7 pc (yeah gross... it's a work computer). I imported a clip straight from my sony a99. The clip works fine if imported into Lightroom just as a side note. If I try to do anything with ANY clip I import, from adding it to a timeline, double clicking it, right clicking it... ANYTHING at all crashes Premiere. Help?!?!

Hi,

1. Can you please mention the graphic card details.
2. Check the renderer settings in Premiere pro by going to File >> Project settings >> General >> Renderer

I'm sure the graphic card is nothing amazing. It's a dell laptop provided by my employer. The render setting is Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration. Should I try the software only option?
