I started with The Ann Arbor News as a part-time sports reporter in 2011 before leaving to take a job with the Hillsdale Daily News in December 2012. A margin of 57 votes is all that separated Washtenaw Community College Trustee Mark Freeman from being re-elected Tuesday night as he lost out to David DeVarti 19,973-19,916.
