How to Have Fun in a Landlocked Area
Have your parents or friends decided they want to go to an area in central Europe or any other landlocked area? Do you KNOW you will be bored? If so, this is the article for you
EditSteps
-
1Research the area you are going to! You never know, you might find something you relate to like : if you're staying at a hotel with a swimming pool and you love swimming you could stay in the pool for hours!Ad
-
2Either write facts about the place or print out the document. Also check out the website of the interesting places because usually they will show more information.
-
3Find pictures of the area in the time of year you're going and pack for that kind of weather. Eg ; If you're going to the Czech Republic in the winter and pack for warm weather you will be wearing a swimsuit in 2 feet (0.6 m) tall snow!
-
4Find the currency for that area and exchange your £ or $ for whatever currency that country uses! If you want to go see a movie and you use £ instead of a US $ you will not be allowed into the movie!
-
5Look at the crime rates and what areas things are stolen & people are attacked. Try and stay away from those areas.
-
6Be comfortable. Bring your own toothbrushes and hair products and soap! If you forget this step or usually don't do it, it won't matter because most hotels provide things like that (But not toothbrushes or toothpastes).
-
7Be safe! Don't go around dark alleyways at night alone. If you need to go through one at night to do shopping or something take a friend and something like a big rock to throw at in case someone attacks you.
-
8Have fun! If you do go with friends or family choose a day where you get to pick what you want to do! You're on holiday too not just them.Ad

EditTips
- Take things like DVDs and laptops, iPods, anything you feel would help pass the time.
- If someone says something like they want to go swimming and next to the swimming pool there is a shopping centre say "Ok while you do that I'm going to go and look in the shops".
- Make friends, you will have more fun with them and might get out of chores to hang out with them if you're parents approve of them
- Take a diary and write about what happened each day! You never know one day it could be a good book!
EditWarnings
- Don't get into a fight because you don't know how dangerous people in that country are
- Don't carry around a pocket knife or a gun in your pocket because people could steal it and use it on you or you could fall over and cut yourself or accidentally shoot yourself!
