EditSteps
-

-
2Choose a website that where you can find videos on that topic. Some suggestions include YouTube and Howcast.
-
3Search for videos on your chosen topic. For example, you want to write an article about how to tie your shoes. You would search for "tie your shoes," "how to tie shoes," or something like that.
-
4Look at the search results, and find a video that you want to watch. Make sure the video is relevant to the article. Once you have found the video you'd like to watch, watch it from beginning to end.
- Try asking permission from the video uploader to use his/her video, just to be safe.
- Try writing each step down in your own words, so you'll remember what to write without having to go back to the video.
-
5Take screenshots of each step. Be sure to pause the video whenever you need to take a screenshot.
-
6Create the wikiHow article. Make sure it follows the format in the Writer's Guide, you should also upload your screenshots and add them to the article.
- Remember to cite the source of your video to show where you got the source of the article, so it isn't considered a copyright violation.
-
7Embed your video into the wikiHow article, if possible. This will give others a chance to watch it.Ad
