Are you curious about why a user on wikiHow has been gone for a very long time? That may mean the user has inactive. Some people don't know that they are inactive, and now you can know if they are.

    Go to the user's user page.

    Go to the recent activity section on the right of the user page.

    Look at how long ago they did something on one of the boxes they have in the recent activity section.

    Look at their talk page messages. If they have a lot of new talk page messages, they may still be active, but if there aren't many recent messages, they might be inactive at the moment. Look at the history of the talk page to see if the talk page may have been cleared.

    Look at how long the user has been on wikiHow. Compare with how long ago they did an activity from which you saw in the recent activities section.

  • Just because a user has only a few talk page messages doesn't mean that they are inactive. They may have cleared or archived their talk page. Look at the edit history of the talk page to see if they cleared it.
