How to Not Be Annoying on wikiHow
Two Methods:Knowing How It WorksHelping Out
As a wikiHow editor, you may have a lot of pet peeves just for wikiHow. Hopefully this helps people lower the number of crummy tips and methods we have to sort through.

EditMethod 1 of 2: Knowing How It Works
-
1When a wikiHow article has an area that says "add tip" (or something along that line) it means,"add tip." Tips are legitimate suggestions that are related to the article. They are not comments. Furthermore, nobody other than you finds it funny to insert crude sexual comments on the article.Ad

2If you think a fact in the article is incorrect, know how to fix it. Talking about it as a tip or a method does absolutely nothing. If there is a correction to be made, become a wikiHow member (completely free!) and tell an administrator.
-
3Realize your consequences. Sorting through all the tips and methods that people decide to enter takes much longer than hours. The number of tips is very high now. Some people are just innocent and honestly misunderstand the system, but most find it funny. It's not!
EditMethod 2 of 2: Helping Out
-
1If you are now feeling extremely guilty about your actions (which you should be) you can do something about it! Join wikiHow free of charge and start writing articles, editing articles, and sorting tips!

2Don't abuse your wikiHow membership. If you are going to edit, edit properly. Don't publish bad tips. This is serious.Ad
