How to Be a Trendy Girl (Teenagers)

Hair And Styling. Next you want to style your hair. So you don't want to have messy, or greasy hair because that is SO not cute! Styling Hair: You can always leave your hair the natural way it is. Or you could do braids, curl it, straighten it, put it in a pony tail or bun (No messy buns!!!! They are not cute they make you look lazy and not stylish!) you can also put in some cute bobby pins, or hair clips, maybe even a hair scrunchie! Just experiment with your hair and look your best.

   • Hair: Make sure you always have nice hair because you can't be trendy and have messy, greasy, or dry hair. Make sure you brush your hair before bed, and when you wake up. Brushing hair before bed makes it easier to brush in the morning, because it gives you less knots to deal with.
   • Washing Hair: Don't wash your hair everyday it can dry your hair out! Wash it every other day so you don't strip it's natural oils.

Face Care: Okay everyone needs a clean face because a dirty face means grease and grease = Acne and acne = Gross!

   • Face: Okay first things first you want a clean face. Make sure you wash your face daily with a good face cleanser the one I like to use is Clean & Clear Morning Burst because it has a refreshing smell and it helps with acne. Also find a good face cleanser for night I use the clean & clear night relaxing. But find whatever is best for your skin. Also weekly or monthly use a face exfoliator the one I use is the St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub.
   • Acne! Okay this is a major NO NO. Acne is not cute but everyone gets it.... So you'll want a good acne cleanser try out brands like Oxy or Clean & Clear. There are so many acne products you can use find what's best for your skin. There are also some other methods of getting rid of acne here is a good one:
   • Tooth Paste: Get a bit of mint tooth paste and put it on your zits for a few minutes (or overnight) the mint of the paste will help kill the zit. (make sure it's mint whiting and not gel paste just the normal kind)
   • Teeth: Now we want to get our pearly whites, white! Make sure you brush your teeth two times a day once when you wake up and once before bed. Use whiten tooth paste to keep them white and pretty. if you need braces get braces! No one wants you to have crooked teeth or anything.

Makeup: Okay now it's time for make up! Makeup is very important to be trendy because it enhances your natural beauty.

   • Natural makeup: Okay now don't use any wild colors like neon or anything crazy. You just want to enhance your natural beauty. I recommend light colors like: Browns, Peaches, and maybe a little pink. For a natural look use some counselor to cover and blemishes or red blotches. Then powder your face to set everything. Next you want to use an eye shadow primer to make your eye shadow last longer, for your eye shadow use some nice browns and peaches or maybe a shimmy brown. Oh and don't for get to put a little white in the corner of your eye to make your eyes look brighter. Next you can add a some coat of mascara if you have short or lighter eyelashes. Then add some lip balm, and a little lip gloss.
   • Natural look 2: Okay so for this look you can use some pale colors that are close to your skin tone. Now i'm very pale so I'd use a light pink eye shadow and maybe a tinted lip balm, also the counselor, mascara, and powder.
   • Made up look: If you're going to a party or even a date try this simple look: Of course we'll do the counselor, power, primer, etc. Then we'll add some light eye shadow to match our outfit, mascara, and maybe some eyeliner it depends on the occasion. Same with blush it depends. Then you can put on some lip stick and some lip gloss.
   • Nails: Also it's supper cute have painted nails try cute colors that compliment your outfit.

Fashion. Now it's time for fashion the trendiest part of the whole how to be trendy artificial! Because your clothes are the most trendy part of your appearance. Now we're going to need to be on trend all the time! So try to find the hottest trends and the not so hot trends. You can find these by reading magazines such as: Seventeen, Girls Life, Teen Vogue, etc Or go to websites of your fav magazines and just try going on Google and search for e.g: Winter Trends 2014. Once you know your trends try them out and see how you like them. Don't like a trend? Then don't do it! Maybe you want to start your own trend as long as you look stylish your trendy. I always like to have at lest one trend in each outfit I have.

What should you have in your closet? Okay your closet is where the magic happens! So you need lots of clothes in it here are some things everyone needs in their closet.

   • A pair of dark wash skinny jeans
   • A pair of boot cut jeans
   • A pair of jean shorts
   • A cute medium sized purse
   • A cross-body purse/bag
   • A pair of Converse
   • Some solid colored plain tees (White, Black, Blue, Pink, Yellow, etc)
   • Some cute flowy tops with unique patterns, cuts, and fabrics
   • 2-3 Cardigans in colors like navy blue, gray, white, black
   • Camis in solid colors
   • Tank tops in solid colors
   • High-waisted skirts
   • High-waisted jeans
   • A pair of flip-flops, T-strap sandals, and Gladiators
   • A pair of ballet flats
   • Normal flats in colors like: Black, White, Silver
   • 2+ pairs of boots
   • A solid colored winter jacket
   • Solid colored scarves
   • Scarves with animal print, floral, ect
   • Crop tops
   • 2 nice blouses

Here are some good stores for trendy clothes:American Egal, H&M, Aeropostel, American Apparel, Garage, Suzy Sheir, Ambercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, Eqlipse, Urban Outfitters, Chanl, Claire's, Ardens, Delia's, Forever21, TJMaxx, Ross, JC Penny, Kohls, Rue 21, Charlotte Russe, Wet Seal, Old Navy, Nordstrom, Victoria's Secret pink, and Thrift Stores because you can find brand names there.

So you have your hair, makeup, outfit, now you need to accessorize!

   • Earrings: Okay you don't just want to own one pair of earrings you want lots of earrings something new everyday! Try wearing some hoops, studs, dangles, just any type of earring that'll look good, Just don't get the animal ones or childish ones you'll look like a kid and not so trendy.
   • Necklaces: There are SO many necklaces out there they have chokers, medium, long, letters, words, pictures, lockets, shapes, it's almost endless! Try out a cross necklace, or the first letter in your name (those are very trendy!)
   • Bracelets: Now you can try out cuffs, bangles, or just any bracelet you can get a charm bracelet, studded, letters, anything really.
   • Rings: Rings may be small but they are glam! You can get ones with gems, diamonds, whatever they're cute.
   • What to wear? Okay DO NOT! Wear too much jewelry you'll look like a fool! Don't wear all of these together unless you can REALLY poll it off and trust be it's most likely not going to look good just wear like two things at a time e.g: A long necklace with some hoop earnings.

Okay so attitude is very impotent because your attitude is a part of being stylish.

   • Be nice to everyone! If you're mean to one person they could tell others bad things about you and rumors spread faster then you may think and being mean is not trendy!
   • Smile: Always be happy and smile even if you're upset because you want to have that perfect glamorous life everyone dreams of and looking like you do means you do!
   • Use your manners: Always say please and thank you. Also mean it when you do and say it in a happy voice.
   • Treat others like you want to be treated.
