How to Categorize a wikiHow User Information Box (UIB)
wikiHow User Information Boxes (UIBs) are categorized differently than regular wikiHow articles. Learning to negotiate this correctly can help categorize and make the site more efficient, making it a good thing to learn for any wikiHow user. See Step 1 for more information.

1Click on the Edit tab of a UIB page.Ad

2Scroll to the bottom of the page.

3Add <noinclude> prior to the title of a category and </noinclude> after the title of the category.
- Example: <noinclude></noinclude>

4Click on Preview, at the bottom of the page, to review your changes.

5Write a note in the Edit Summary, at the bottom of the page, to clarify categorization.

6Click on Publish, at the bottom of the page, to save your changes.Ad

- If noinclude tags are omitted, pages will appear in UserInfoBoxes.
- Omit whitespace between noinclude tags and template content.
- Generally, UIBs are only categorized in UserInfoboxes.
- Provide a link to a template by adding temp|, such as {{temp|Billy Joel}}, which will appear as {{Billy Joel}}.
