    First of all decide why you are writing this prayer... what is the purpose? Are you asking God to forgive you, to praise him to thank him for something? Whatever it is use this as an introduction to prayer i.e. if you were writing to thank God, then you would start it off as 'Dear Lord/God, I would like to thank you for ____________' and then whatever you would like to thank God for.
    • Now, it's time to write why you are praying to God about asking his forgiveness or thanking him, why are you doing it? Now it is time to put this into your prayer letter. i.e. 'I am thanking you because _________________ and I am grateful Lord.'

    • The next step is to praise God and acknowledge his love and make sure He knows you respect Him. something such as 'Lord, you are perfect in every way, I will always follow your rules and try to be all that I can...'
