How to Have Fun Being an Intern
Internships to a good number of young students is seen as a really boring affair. This is because most times, it is made compulsory by either your school authority or your parents. Internships are a great way to kick-start your career in the right field.First, Internships help you locate the particular professional field you'd love to venture into.Most final year students still find it hard to choose a particular field. The availability of different units and departments in an organisation help you to locate that one area you'd love to function in.

1First of all, you're out to learn and nobody would criticise you for not knowing certain things.
- You are there to LEARN, have FUN and NETWORK with professionals

2Be Polite
- Learn to greet colleagues of yours with smiles (yes! they are your colleagues regardless of professional hierarchy)
- Dont be too "forward"(Don't jump onto people's conversations because you are excited or because you already have an existing relationship with them

3Be Humble
- You may be told to simple tasks: Most of these simple tasks are used to test your ability to respond too instructions. Note: If you can happily scan a document for your boss then you can take on any multi-billion dollar Project when the time comes.
- Do what you need to do at the right time

4Try as Much as Possible to make friends and create strong network. These relationships and contact would probably come in handy in the near future.
- Your internship would probably last a few months or sometimes, up to a year. It is your duty to create good relationships with guys at the organisation.

5Avoid Intern Romance
- Interns are comfortable around fellow interns (This should not be so)
- This can easily lead to Intern Romance within the office (funny ,right?)

6Engage in Social activities within the office
- Whether it is a ball, game,world cup or intra-company competition, try as much as possible to feature. This brings you close to everybody in the company

7Don't see yourself as an Intern who has nothing to contribute
- You are an important part of the organisation, regardless of the pettiness of your job description
