EditSteps
-
1Listen to indie bands. If you don't already listen to indie bands, a few good ones are The Wombats, Wintersleep, Said the Whale and Hey Rosetta!.
-
2Let it come naturally. You don't have to try and sound like someone else. The whole point of indie music is expressing yourself.
-
3Don't focus on just love songs. This is kind of optional. If you want to just write love songs, that's your decision. But try to write about things people can relate to.
-
4Have fun with it. If you start to get irritated, just take a break and cool off. Don't get frustrated, it takes practice.
