3Be ready financially. Homeschooling isn't cheap. Set out a budget by looking into how much you curriculum is going to cost. Depending on what curriculum you are going with, prices vary. In some provinces and states, the government can help you pay for curriculum while others don't.

4Different states require different minimum days and what you have to prove it. In the state of New Mexico, the state has to have a log of how many days you did schooling on and what days you didn't. In states like Colorado, you need to send in regular reports that were taken by your child. Some States and Provinces do not require any of that.

5Have support and prayer from friends and family. Some family members may think that your child isn't getting enough socializing with other children. This is just the opposite. Homeschooled children work better and interact with other children more than non-homeschooled children.Ad
